(704) Interamnia is a main belt asteroid discovered in October of 1910. It was spotted without being identified in June of 1952.

The orbit is located at the outer main belt. It has a perihelion of 2.58 AU and an aphelion of 3.52 AU. The semimajor axis is at 3.05 AU. It has an orbital period of 5 years and 127 days. It has an inclination of 17.3º. It has a diameter of about 317 km.

Photometric observations were carry out in the years1983, 2001, 2007 and 2014. There were star occultations in the year 1996 and in March of 2003.

Geographical place

Interamnia ('between two rivers') is the Latin name of Teramo, an Italian city in the Abruzzo region.
