(804) Hispania is a main belt asteroid (outer zone I) discovered in March of 1915. There is a prediscovery image back to September of 1907. It was spotted without being identified in November of 1903, October of 1915 and March of 1953.

The orbit is located at the outer zone of the main belt. It has a perihelion of 2.44 AU and an aphelion of 3.23 AU. The semimajor axis is at 2.83 AU. It has an orbital period of 4 years and 285 days. It has an inclination of  15.4º (trevigintile@15º39', 0º15' orb). It has a diameter of about 122 km.

It has a perihelion of 1.72 AU and an aphelion of 3.54 AU. The semimajor axis is at 2.63 AU. It has an orbital period of 4 years and 99 days. It has an inclination of  24.5º (quincile 24º, 0º28' orb). It has a diameter of about 105 km.

Photometric observations were carry out in the years 1982 and 2008.

A stellar occultation ocurred in the year 2000.

Biblical story

The orbit is located in the outer zone (I) of the main belt. It has a perihelion of 2.64 AU and an aphelion of 3.16 AU. The semimajor axis is at 2.90 AU. It has an orbital period of 4 years and 348 days. It has an inclination of 12.4º. It has a diameter of about 148 km.

Photometric observations were carried out in the year 1981. Stellar occultations occurred in January 2006 and May 2008.

Historical character

Hypatia (370-415 AD) was a philosopher, astronomer and mathematician who lived in Alexandria (Egypt), then part of the Eastern Roman Empire. He worked at the Museum, a kind of university of her time, and also taught philosophy and astronomy at her home to a large group of students, among whom there were also some Christians.

Hypatia was recognized in life as a great teacher and wise counselor. At present, it is believed that she could have edited the text of Ptolemy's "Almagest" and possibly co-written some of the commentaries attributed to her father (Theon of Alexandria).

(77) Frigga is a main belt asteroid (middle zone I) discovered in November of 1862. It was spotted without being identified in September of 1936.

The orbit is located in he middle zone of the main belt. It has a perihelion of 2.32 AU and an aphelion of 3.02 AU. The semimajor axis is at 2.67 AU. It has an orbital period of 4 years and 133 days. It has an inclination of 2.4º. It has a diameter of about 69 km.

Norse mythology

Frigg, Odin's wife, was the queen of heaven. Only she, apart from Odin, had the right to sit on the throne Hliðskjálf, to contemplate the nine worlds. She had the gift of prophecy, although she never revealed what she knew.

After Baldr, one of his sons, began to have prophetic dreams about his own death, Frigg traveled the world asking all things to swear not to harm Baldr. To the extent that the other gods made fun throwing things at him, knowing that nothing could harm him.

But Loki proposed to find out if she had forgotten to take an oath to something. She became a woman and asked her. Frigg admitted that she had considered the mistletoe too young to take an oath. Loki then prepared a mistletoe dart and gave it to Höðr, Frigg's other son. Since he was blind, he had not participated in the game of throwing things at Baldr, but Loki offered to guide him, helping him to launch him, killing him.

Odin sent his son, Hermóðr, to negotiate Baldr's return from the underworld with Hel, daughter of Loki and goddess of the dead. She established as a condition that all things, in each of the nine worlds, wept for him. Frigg and Odin joined forces urging, one by one, all things; but Loki hid in a cave in the form of an old giantess, who did not cry, preventing Baldr's return.

The asteroid Frigga is related with the process of finding commitment with the right nourish source (flat, job, partner, ...), examining, one by one, all possible options.
