(385186) 1994 AW1, detailed observation of objects or images for scientific purposes

(385186) 1994 AW1 is an amor asteroid discovered in January of 1994. There is a prediscovery image back to December of 1986.

The orbit is in the zone of the orbital piercing from the Earth-Moon system toward Mars. It has a perihelion of 1.02 AU and an aphelion of 1.18 AU. The semimajor axis is at 1.10 AU. It has an orbital period of 1 year and 58 days. It has an inclination of  24.1º (quindecile 24º, 0º06' orb). It has a diameter of about 940 m.

A satellite of (385186) 1994 AW1, of about 460 m, was discovered at the same time as the asteroid. In february of 2014, received its permanent asignation number.

Orbital resonance:
9:17 with Venus (99.8%)
13:8 with Mars (99.7%)
13:15 with Earth-Moon (99.4%)-
15:4 with Juno (99.7%)

4:1 with Herculina (99.5%)
11:2 with Cybele (99.5%)

In the movie "Short Circuit" (1986), after receiving a lightning strike, one of the military robots comes to life and explores the environment, examining objects from closely approach with an immense curiosity (13:15 resonance with Earth-Moon; 4:1 resonance with Herculina).

(385186) 1994 AW1 is related with the detailed observation of objects or images for scientific purposes, such as maps of the surface of the Earth or the galactic space (11:2 resonance with Cybele).
