The orbit is located at the center of the main belt. It has a perihelion of 2.41 AU and an aphelion of 2.89 AU. The semimajor axis is at 2.65 AU. It has an orbital period of 4 years and 120 days. It has an inclination of 3.5º. It has a diameter of about 95 km.

Photmetric observation were taken in the years 1979, 1981, 2001, 2007 y 2008.

Orbital resonance:
3:13 with Earth-Moon (99.9%)
-
15:13 with Psyche (99.9%)
3:2 with Sylvia (99.9%)
13:10 with Davida (99.9%)

Roman mythology

Proserpina became the queen of the Underworld, after Pluto kidnaped her while she was picking flowers.

The essential thing with (26) Proserpina is to stay connected with the inner self to assess the personal preferences and values in relation to every experience or situation (3:13 resonance with the Earth-Moon system). Through this style of receptivity becomes aware of what it wants to do and decisions can be taken according to the personal way of being and at the right moment.

Because of the subjective way in which the preferences about people or activities involved were acquired, it is capable of an amazing receptivity and devotion, like Kate in the movie "Family Man" (2001), or Helena in the video game "Uncharted" (PS3, 2007).

However, before (26) Proserpina is aware of its wishes, can have a hesitant attitude to life, waiting for something or someone to transform its life from the outside, like Rapunzel at the beginning of the movie "Tangled" (2010).

15:4 with Psyche (99.8)

Greek mythology

Orpheus, son of Calliope and the king of Thrace, was a great poet and musician. The melodies that came out of his lyre were so beautiful that they melted with stones, trees and wild animals.

Orpheus was married with the beautiful Eurydice, whom shortly after getting married, was fatally stung by a poisonous snake that she accidentally stepped on.

To bring her back to life, Orpheus descended into the world of the dead and asked Hades to set her free. He sang a melody so beautiful that Hades could not resist.

He agreed to let Eurydice return, but on the condition that he did not look at her until they had completely abandoned the world of the dead. Orpheus led his wife guiding her with the notes of his lyre through the paths of the underground world. However, when he had left, but she still was not (although it was almost out), he could not resist and turned to look at her, which vanished with a heart-rending cry.

(3361) Orpheus is related with the development of intimate relationships in which physical attraction and desire gradually gain strength, and in which there are also unique moments of physical proximity oriented to the first kiss, in which above all, each one has to evaluate their feelings and those of the other person, to decide if it is the right moment (6:13 resonance with Venus).

However, despite feeling that everything is adequate, performing the final movement involves acting decisively (3:4 resonance with the Earth-Moon system).

Remaining half-done

This are relationships with a lot of potential, but there is a risk of remaining half-done if the opportunity is not used due to doubts or inhibitions; or on the contrary, if one acts impulsively, without the necessary patience to wait for the other person to feel the same.

"Project Almanac" (2014) [1]

"Project Almanac" (2014) [2]

An impulsive behavior when the other person is not ready yet, could lead to a rejection or disappointment, and consequently, loss of hope and faith in the relationship.

"Project Almanac" (2014) [3]

If the relationship gets complicated or difficulties arise, (3361) Orpheus can also require decisive actions through the difficult path, in which the lunar affection manifests itself through a communication with strong emotional friction and also accompanied by physical contact in solid postures, how to hug or hold the other person with both hands (3:4 resonance with the Earth-Moon system).

Greek mythology

Irene (Eirene) means in ancient Greek "the one that brings peace". In Greek mythology she was one of the three Horae, toghether with Dike and Eunomia. Irene was the embodiment of peace and wealth. It was usually represented by a beautiful woman with a crown of flowers and an olive branch in one hand, and on the other, a cornucopia.

The 11th hexagram of I-Ching, entitled 'Peace', is related with special moments in which supply and demand are very high

John Herschel explained, through the following letter, the reasons that led him to choose the name of the asteroid: "You will readily discover that this name [...] has some relation to this event (the Great Industrial Exhibition) which is now filling our metropolis [London] with the talent of all civilised nations, with those of Peace, the productions of Art and Science, in which all mankind must feel an interest."

The Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations in the Crystal Palace of Hyde Park, London, ran from May 1 until October 18, 1851.

(14) Irene is related with the exhibition of products in shop windows or stands, according to categories (9:7 resonance with Interamnia).

Egyptian mythology

Bennu ('to shine' or 'to rise in brilliance') was a mythological bird of Ancient Egypt, which periodically renewed itself, like the Sun. It was known as "He Who Came Into Being by Himself".

It represented the spiritual component of Ra, Aton or Osiris and the soul force that guided the gods during the journey through the underworld.

Hieroglyph of Bennu

The discovery of the asteroid Bennu coincided with the popularization of GIF animated graphics in advertising banners on web pages on the Internet, shortly after the patent was released in 1998. In addition, the asteroid received its official name in 2012, coinciding with the inclusion of the word 'gif' in the Oxford dictionary.

The asteroid Bennu is related with moving the focus of attention toward visual elements that generate interest, because they change their brightness and color quickly and strikingly.
