(81) Terpsichore, verbal communication accompanied by bodily gestures

(81) Terpsichore is a main belt asteroid (outer zone I) discovered in September of 1864. It was spotted without being identified in August of 1936, September of 1936 and June of 1974.

It has a perihelion of 2.26 AU and an aphelion of 3.44 AU. The semimajor axis is at 2.85 AU. It has an orbital period of 4 years and 301 days. It has an inclination of 7.8º. It has a diameter of about
121 km.

Photometric observations were carry out in the year 2011. Stellar occultation ocurred in the year 2009.

The asteroid Terpsichore is related with the ability to accompany verbal communication through gestures of the hands, arms, body posture, and in general, with movements of the whole body.
 
 
Stana Katic, actress of the TV series "Absentia (2017), has Terpsichore in Scorpio (11th Moon-Node House), in conjunction with Uranus.
