European country
Lithuania does not have high mountains, is a country of plains and hills, with plenty of forests, lakes and wetlands.
Formerly almost the whole territory of current Lithuania was covered
with forests. Now, nearly one third of the surface of the country is cover.
The forest vegetation of Lithuania is very diverse: oaks with millennia
of age, fresh and clean pine forests, white trunks of birch. They are dense
forests in which abound wild boar, goats, deer, gray foxes, hares,
martens and other animals. During the spring, the song of
nightingales, finches and thrushes are hear.
