Quan Yin, Chinesse Buddhism for C/1995 O1 (Hale-Bopp)

Quan Yin was the goddess of compassion. She became a goddess, after saving the life of her father, in spite of he burned her convent.

One of her legions (minor temples), looked after hearth and orphanages as a presence keeper. Thanks to her loving protection to single mothers and their illegitimate sons, as well as future mothers, she avoided abortions and suicides, when they were not assisted by the father of the creatures.
