(2201) Oljato, observing an object from different angles

(2201) Oljato is an apollo asteroid discovered in December of 1947. There is a prediscovery image back to December of 1931. After its discovery, the asteroid was lost until its rediscovery in November of 1979. It received its official name in March of 1983.

Its orbit is located between Mercury-Venus and the Hilda zone.
It has a perihelion of 0.62 AU and an aphelion of 3.72 AU. The semimajor axis is at 2.17 AU. It has an orbital period of 3 years and 76 days. It has an inclination of 2.5º. It has a diameter of about 2 km.

Photometric observations were made in October of 2004.

The time of the rediscovery of (2201) Oljato and its official name assignation, clashed with the appearance of the first Japanese animated films and the movie "Tron" (1982), made with computer help to simulate difficult displacements of the filming angle.
