Greek mythology

Adonis was the god of vegetation and pigs. He became the lover of Aphrodite and also of Persefone. So Zeus resolved the dispute between them, decreeing that Adonis should spend a third of each year with each goddess and the last third wherever he wanted. He was killed by a wild boar sent by Artemis.

The asteroid Adonis is related with the ability to advance in areas where it is not possible to follow a straight line, which sometimes forces you to decide to turn left and other times to the right, to surround the obstacles.
