(5731) Zeus, sharp and pointy objects, with high penetration capacity

(5731) Zeus is an apollo asteroid discovered in November of 1988. There are prediscovery images back to October-September of 1988.

The orbit is located between the zone of orbital piercing from Venus toward the Earth-Moon system, and the Cybele zone. It has a perihelion of 0.78 AU and an aphelion of 3.74 AU. The semimajor axis is at 2.26 AU. It has an orbital period of 3 years and 149 days. It has an inclination of 11.4º.
